Then it was game time! Here is the brand new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home to the Atlanta Falcons football team. These are two of their signature sides – macaroni and cheese and collard greens. This plate included chicken wings, pork, ribs, brisket, sides, and cornbread. These are the cracklin’ sliders – this one with classic pulled pork, tossed in the signature BBQ sauce, topped with fried pork skins, and served with one side – collard greens. Here I am with Bryan – he was so excited we came to his restaurant! We tried them all and they were all delicious. The restaurant has three barbecue sauces – ketchup-based spicy, spicy vinegar, and peach mustard. Here’s a fun snapshot of Jane and Steve ready for lunch. B’s Cracklin’ Barbeque owner, Bryan Furman, wrote the message on the sign. She helped us navigate our way through Atlanta and joined us all for this excellent lunch – the best barbecue in the state. You may recall, Jeff runs a giant Christmas tree farm in Elk Creek, Virginia and planted hundreds of trees at my farm 10-years ago. We called, and they said to come at noon before it got too crowded. I saw a news story on television about the restaurant the day before, and thought it would be a great place for lunch. Oz, who was there with his wife, Lisa.Īfter the party, we went to Chops Lobster Bar, where we enjoyed the most amazing seafood, This is their shellfish tower with Maine lobster, shrimp, cold water oysters, and lump crab. So many people attended the gathering, including Jon Bon Jovi. The night before the game, Patriots owner, Robert Kraft, hosted a big party. There were so many celebrities and performers in town for the game.Ītlanta is, by far, a New England Patriots-loving city. We also met the young rap singer and songwriter, Silento, and his little sister. This is Andre’s Hall of Fame ring – only 180 Hall of Famers alive today. And in 2014, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He played wide receiver in the National Football League for 16-seasons – 15 with the Buffalo Bills and one with the Washington Redskins.
